Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
LocalHomeProjectFinder.com (the “Site”) is operated by maxidimai LLC (“LocalHomeProjectFinder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share and sell it to, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Site and to any calls, texts or emails we send you about a project request.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address and street address or ZIP code.
- Project details: the type of work you need, your timeline, whether you own the home, and anything else you tell us about the project.
- Your consent record: whether you agreed to be contacted, the exact consent wording you saw, and when you agreed.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through a form, including privacy requests.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
- Approximate location: derived from your IP address or the ZIP code you enter.
- Form session records: when you submit a quote request, we or a consent-verification provider may record how the form was filled in and submitted (for example the page, the consent text displayed and the time of submission) to prove that you gave consent. This record is kept as evidence and is not used for advertising.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7.
Information from others
We may receive information about the status of your request from the companies we connect you with (for example, whether they reached you), and we may use service providers to verify that a phone number or address is valid.
2. How we use information
- To match your request with home improvement companies that serve your area and type of project, and to pass your request to them.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text or email, as you authorize.
- To keep records that show you consented to be contacted.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to detect and prevent fraud, fake submissions and abuse.
- To measure how the Site is used and how well our pages perform.
- To comply with law, respond to legal requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. How we share and sell information
Home improvement companies and lead networks. When you submit a request, we share your contact and project details with up to three home improvement companies, or with marketing companies that place requests with home improvement companies, so they can contact you with quotes. They pay us for this. Our partners page lists these companies. Once they receive your information, their own privacy policies govern how they use it.
Service providers. We use companies that host the Site, store data, send email, verify phone numbers and consent records, and measure Site traffic. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
4. Notice at collection: categories of personal information
The table below describes the categories of personal information we collect, why, and who receives it. It covers the 12 months before the date at the top of this page.
| Category | Examples | Disclosed to | Sold or shared? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, phone, email, postal address, IP address | Home improvement companies, lead networks, service providers | Yes, sold to home improvement companies and lead networks |
| Commercial information | The project you want quotes for, timeline, homeownership | Home improvement companies, lead networks, service providers | Yes, sold to home improvement companies and lead networks |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, referring page, form session records | Service providers | No |
| Geolocation (approximate) | ZIP code, city or region from IP address | Home improvement companies, lead networks, service providers | Yes, as part of your request |
| Inferences | Which kinds of companies are a good match for your project | Service providers | No |
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details or precise geolocation, and we do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Retention. We keep request and consent records for up to five years after your last request, because consent records may be needed to answer complaints or legal claims about calls and texts. We keep Site usage data for up to 26 months. We keep privacy-request records for at least 24 months, as California law requires.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising.
- Know and access the personal information we have about you, including the categories and specific pieces of information.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Appeal our decision if we decline your request.
We honour these requests for every US visitor, whether or not your state’s law requires it.
How to make a request
- Opt out of sale or sharing: use our Do Not Sell or Share My Info form.
- Access, delete or correct: use the same form and choose the type of request (access, delete, correct), or email [email protected].
To protect your information, we will verify an access, deletion or correction request by matching the details you give us against what we hold, and we may contact you to confirm. An opt-out request does not need verification. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need up to 45 more.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof of your signed permission and ask you to verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We will respond within 45 days (60 days in some states). If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information collected through that browser.
6. Calls, texts and consent
If you agree on our form to be contacted, we and up to three home improvement companies matched to your request may call or text the number you provide about your project, including with automated technology and prerecorded or artificial voice messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to any text, tell the caller you no longer want calls, or email [email protected]. Because companies that received your request contact you directly, you may also need to opt out with each of them. We will pass on your withdrawal to companies we shared your request with when you ask us to.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that the Site needs to work (for example, security tokens on forms), and we may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, which have no common standard, but it does honour Global Privacy Control as described above.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
The Site may link to websites we do not control, including those of home improvement companies. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page, and, if the changes are material, we will give notice on the Site before they take effect.
