About LocalHomeProjectFinder

LocalHomeProjectFinder.com helps homeowners in the United States plan a home improvement project and get in touch with independent local companies that do the work — HVAC, roofing, windows, bathrooms, gutters and siding. The site is operated by maxidimai LLC, based in Rockville, Maryland.

What we do

We do two things. First, we publish plain-English guides on what common home projects cost, what drives the price, and how to compare contractors. Second, we run a free referral service: you tell us what you need and your ZIP code, and we pass your request to a small number of companies that serve your area, so you can compare estimates.

We are not a contractor. We do not inspect homes, give quotes, or perform, supervise or guarantee any work. Every job is agreed directly between you and the company you choose.

How we make money

Homeowners never pay us. Home improvement companies, and marketing companies that work with them, pay us when we pass on a request for quotes. That payment can influence which companies receive a request, which is why we explain it in full in our advertiser disclosure and list the companies we work with on our partners page.

How our cost guides are researched

Price ranges on this site are estimates for typical US homes, not quotes. We build them from published sources — public cost surveys, manufacturer and trade-association data, and government energy programs — and every guide names its sources and shows the date it was last updated. Real prices depend on your home, your region and the products you choose, so we always recommend getting more than one written estimate.

No partner company writes, pays for or reviews our guides before they are published. If you spot something that is out of date or wrong, please tell us and we will correct it.

Before you hire anyone

Whoever you hire — through us or not — check that they hold the license your state requires, carry liability insurance, and put the price and scope in writing. Our how it works page explains what happens after you send a request and how to stop contact at any time.
